It's here...

Finally! Viva Glam Nicki has turned up on my doorstep! Let out a little squeal when I opened up the packaging. I love new MAC lipsticks way too much... Viva Glam Gaga is one of my favourite MAC lippies ever, so I was hoping this would live up to that. MAC describe this Satin finish lipstick as bright yellow pink, and I would say they're not far off. From all the different swatches and pictures I've seen on other websites and blogs, I really wasn't sure how the colour truly leaned and how it would come out on myself.

VGN is a Satin lipstick, a formula I only own two of, Rebel and Pink Nouveau. I really get on with Pink Nouveau, I find it creamy and non-drying, it feels like a Matte when you're putting it on, except it's obviously a bit shinier than a Matte. With VGN, it really highlights any dry skin on my lips, which was a straightaway no no! Anyway I persevered, and was a little disappointed with the colour. I don't know if it's me being so pale or not, but the colour was literally neon! Which is the sort of shade I would expect from Nicki Minaj, but not what I've seen on the web. I suppose at the end of the day, it's the luck of the draw! We all have different skin tones, and different colour lips, some more pigmented than others. But I was just expecting it to be a lot less in your face, due to the swatches I've seen. When I blot it down (a lot!) I do really like the colour, it takes the edge off. Recently I have been wearing a lot of bright pink lipsticks, all blue based though, so maybe I'll experiment and give it more of a go. Who knows, I may grow to love it.

I wouldn't say to not purchase this lipstick, as it looks gorgeous on lots of girls I've seen so far, especially those with a tan! Will look gorgeous in the summer, shame on me for not being able to tan... Suppose I'll have to whack the fake tan out!!

I love that all the money (except VAT) from purchasing the lipstick and Ricky's lip conditioner goes to MACs AIDS fund. All the more reason to buy make up! I'll post a lip swatch tomorrow, but for now I have a swatch on the back of my hand, I would say it is a little more pink in the flesh, the camera hasn't really picked it up as well as I would of hoped.

Have you ordered this lipstick yet? Do you like the looks of it?

Katy Perry Eylure Lashes - Sweetie Pie

They're finally here! Got my hands on a pair of Katy Perrys lashes by Eylure. I did have my eyes on "Oh, Honey!" But when I picked them up, they looked SO fake and cheap, and were really messy! So I went for the next down, more natural - "Sweetie Pie" I think I was more swayed to the pink packaging to be honest! As I'm a sucker for anything pink, and cute packaging - a deadly combination. They come with the standard lash glue, instruction leaflet, and also a cute little sticker! They could of put in a Katy Perry sticker I suppose, but hey. I haven't tried these on yet, so I will post a picture with them on so you can see how they look. But I have a confession... I haven't actually ever worn false lashes before. I know, shock horror right?! They're always freaked me out a bit, the whole glue thing. I've bought a few pack before, but never gotten round to putting them on. So this time I'm going to actually use these!

These cost £5.95 from Boots, and are available on the Boots website too. I went into Superdrug and they weren't in there, so I don't know if they're a Boots exclusive or not.

Are you interested in this collection? What do you think about it? This is the post I wrote about the collection information.

Fearne Nail Polishes

Picked up these polishes the other day from Boots as they were on offer for 1/2 price. I had always looked at the colours and admired them, but always went for other nail polishes instead. But for £2.75 each I couldn't really say no. There wasn't that much choice left, and all the bottles had obviously been there for a while, as they were all a bit scratched or dirty, but I ended up going for the Lime Green and Mint Green. I don't usually ever wear lime greens, but this is a perfect colour, really creamy and more yellow based, I will definately wear this in the warmer weather, it just screams summer! The second colour I picked up was the Mint Green, which is very blue based, and I would say the colour is very similar to Tiffanys blue! I've got plenty this sort of shade, but it's always a favourite colour. For the picture above, I quickly applied one coat each, I think they've been sitting for a long time, and so they were quite streaky. But if I was to apply two coats they would definately even out. The bottle design is quite cute, simple, a little bit different, but I still think it was never attractive enough to make me purchase it when it was full price. They're still on offer on the Boots website here, and I assume if there's stock left, they'll still be in store.

What do you think of these colours? Do you have any of Fearnes cosmetics? What do you think of celebrities bringing out make up collections?

Nicki Minaj for OPI

Probably the most sought after nail polishes at the moment. For ages I couldn't decide if I liked them enough to purchase. I knew I wanted the turquoise one and the pink one (not like I need another!) Anyway, as I kept putting it off, I finally saw it pop up on Buyapowa for £8 and thought it was too good to pass up!

Moving on.. Nicki Minaj's collection consists of 6 polishes, 2 of which aren't in the Minis pack. A glitter polish called 'Save Me' which has bar glitter in (so 90s!) and 'Super Bass Shatter' which is a shimmery dark purple, which does look really good over the colours, but I never wear shatter polishes as it is.

The colours that come in the pack are very vibrant and catapult us straight into that summer feeling. I've already sported 2 of the 4 polishes on my nails and love them.

The colours from L-R are; 'Did it on 'em', 'Fly', 'Pink friday' and 'Metallic 4 Life'.

I have to say, 'Did it on 'em' isn't really to my liking, it reminds me of OPIs 'Who the Shrek are you?' which came out with the Shrek collection. Don't get me wrong it is a nice colour, but on my oh so pale skin it just makes my hands look so washed out and awful. On medium to dark skin tones this will look so good! But for me, it's a no no.

'Fly' is a beautiful turquoise/teal which leans more blue. I find that after 2 coats I still have visible nail line, but it's not really obvious. It is a gorgeous colour though, and I think it's a favourite amongst most.

'Pink friday' is obviously appealing to all girly girls across the globe! I'm a sucker for anything pink, it could literally be a pink toilet brush and I will want it! Sad I know... It's a thick creme polish and applies well, opaque after one coat, but perfect after two! I've already worn this and I love it. It's more of a warm pink than cool, and will suit most skin tones.

Finally is 'Metallic 4 life', another one I have already worn, and it looks great on nails. It's a sort of jelly finish, and on the nails translates as a grey/charcoal colour. You build up the colour to how you want it. Obviously I wanted it to be more black, so 2-3 coats is what you need, depending on how thick you paint it. Has different sized silver glitter in. Another polish that will look great on all skin tones.

All the swatches are 2 coats each. And you can see how they all finish off. Look for the VNL on 'Fly' and a bit streaky on 'Did it on 'em'!

What do you think of this collection? Have you got it? Or do you want to purchase it? Buyapowa keep listing these on their site, but be quick - they keep selling out!

Katy Perry for Eylure

As you have probably heard by now, Katy Perry has released a range of eyelashes with Eylure. This are hotly anticipated as I personally think Katy's eyes are something worth replicating! Her range with OPI that was out in 2010 was a bit disappointing. I think everybody was expecting a bit more, whereas Nicki Minajs current OPI collection is a bit more fitting for her and a lot more exciting. Either way, looking at the promotion images, this collection looks a lot more promising.

Every time I see a picture of Katy Perry I literally have to hold myself back from buying black hair dye! (It may have been a good idea in school, but I'm not so sure now!) She looks great whatever she does, and she is a style icon to hundreds of thousands of people all over the globe. I love her for her confidence to wear whatever she wants, and to try different things. Her love of fruit and cute things such as kawaii. Also every time I've seen her live, her show, stage and props are amazing, always memorable, and you just want to go and jump around with her haha! Her style is someone I can relate to. I like lots of different trends, from pastels to a more gothic feel full of studs, black and crosses. And I feel Katy is the same, she will do and wear whatever she wants, and I think it is the best way to be!

“I have worn Eylure lashes all the way through my tour and really loved them. When it came to having a range of my own, I wanted everyone to have a great experience with my lashes. As they have such an amazing history and great quality, Eylure was really the best choice for me to work with.”
Sweetie Pie, £5.95
"This is a great lash for anyone who wants to try false lashes for the first time. It's sweet and subtle, but adds just the right amount of length and volume."

Cool Kitty, £5.95
"One of my favourite lashes! A perfect eveningwear lash with manicured tips. It can add the ideal finishing touch for a smoky look that will make people purr as you pass."

Oh, Honey! £5.95
"I love that vintage flick at the corners that this lash gives me. Full, fun and great for day or evening."
Oh, My! £6.95
"I love Eylure Double Lashes, and I just had to have one for my range of lashes. This style is full of texture, but lightweight and very wearable. The perfect accessory for your eyes."

I love the packaging, especially the polka dots and stripes, gives it that cute, girly, vintage feel. And I like the looks of Sweetie Pie and Cool Kitty. These are now available on the Boots website. I went into my nearest large local Boots store on Saturday night and they weren't in there, but they might be now.
Are you interested in these? Do you wear lashes? Are there any celebrity collaborations you would like to see? I think Jessie J is an obvious choice for nails or lipstick? I think she would be interesting :)
